 Inter
Cheadle 0, Great Moor County A 3
Stockport Metro League
Division One, Sunday, October 28th, 2007
Inter were taught a lesson in
finishing in a game of two contrasting halves.
Eager to put the 5-0 beating inflisted
on them in the first fixture just afew weeks ago, Cheadle
started out strong and refused to let Great Moor take the
initiative, although they were fortunate not to concede when
a shot beat stand-in keeper Paul and was only prevented from
crossing the line by the mud in the goalmouth!
As the half wore on Cheadle grew
in confidence and started to dominate but were frustrated
by a mixture of good goalkeeping and bad luck in front of
goal as five good chances to score passed them by.
Great Moor did not need any encouragement
to take the game by the scruff of the neck and in the second
half took control, making the home side rue those missed chances
with three well taken goals, staying firm at the back and
frustrating Cheadle's efforts to get back in the game.
