Norbury Athletic 2, Inter Cheadle 6

Norbury were swept aside by a rampant Inter Cheadle who played some brilliant passing football on a bog of a pitch.

It was that man Dan again who got the ball rolling with the first goal as he latched onto a throughball on the right hand side and beat the 'keeper low into the corner on six minutes.

Norbury battled to get themselves back into the game but found a resolute Inter defence restricting them to break away attempts and an all-action midfield ready to catch them on the counter.

The second half started in the same way with Dan grabbing his and Cheadle's second on 38 minutes and the visitors began to dominate the match.

Then Norbury found themselves a lifeline after Dane picked up what was adjudged to be a backpass and the free kick was headed home to put them right back in it.

Instead of letting this setback affect them, Inter went straight up the other end and regained their two goal advantage when Tom P smashed home from just inside the area.

Five minutes later it was 4-1 and Tom P grabbed his second when he lashed home following a goal-mouth scramble on 55 minutes.

An unfortunate mishap handed Norbury a second goal on 58 minutes when Dane slipped on the treacherous surface but Kay struck an instant reply to make it 5-2 with his first of the game.

Inter turned on the style now with some excellent pass and move football which opened up Norbury time and again and they were finally rewarded for this when yet another attack was finished off by Josh to make it 6-2 on 65 minutes
